Intrigue

"Have you heard about the new drama teacher they're bringing in?" asked Raelene, Juliette's childhood friend.
"New teacher? What's she like..?"
"Oh, not a she. A he! And he's creating quite a stir!"
Juliette looked cynically at her friend. "Really. Ugh, high school girls can be so... so... you know what? Never mind... Let's get to science, we're late and -"
"-But Juliette, we've got drama now!"
"Oh, well I guess we're going to have to meet this new teacher then," Juliette sighed. She didn't like to think of herself as a negative person, but how she despised the air-headed bimbos that paraded around on show for men. She believed in old-fashioned love. The long courtship. Falling deeply in love, not one night stands.
They hurried to their drama room, and arrived just as the lesson was beginning.
"Welcome, ladies." A foreign voice began. "Nice of you to join us."
Juliette and Raelene looked up to see from where the hospitable voice came.
He stared back, not having fully taken in the girls when they first opened the door.
"I'm... I'm Mr... Uhh..." He stumbled through his name and how long he would be staying for, but the words fell on deaf ears. Raelene found herself simply admiring his trim body and masculine face, but Juliette had been distracted by so much more. His eyes, dark and mysterious; his hair, gorgeously tousled; his lips... She stopped. "What am I thinking about?" she asked herself in horror. "This is just ridiculous. He's a teacher for goodness' sake!"
The girls slowly took their seats, not taking their eyes off the dashing teacher. The lesson passed quickly, and for the first time in her life, Juliette resented the ringing school bell.
"Alright, everybody. See you again tomorrow," he called over the unrelenting blare of the bell.
Juliette lingered, toying with her various books and papers.
"Come on, Juliette, it's lunchtime! We're heading out, remember?" Raelene's voice burst through Juliette's haze, snapping her back to reality.
"Huh? Oh, uh, you go with the others... I think I have some painting to catch up on. I'll see you later." Juliette didn't even know why she was staying behind, but to stay in that classroom for even a minute more was all she could think about.
"Okay, suit yourself," Raelene said with a smile, bouncing off to meet her friends; not giving another thought to the new drama teacher.
But Juliette couldn't just forget him. And as soon as the classroom had emptied of students, she found herself gravitating to him. He too looked up from his desk and gazed at her, unsure of what he felt. She tucked a strand of her long dark hair behind her ear, and their eyes locked. He opened his mouth as if to speak, but said nothing. He could think of nothing. Nothing but her. She was far more beautiful than any other he'd ever met. Her flawless olive skin, flowing curls, and rich eyes. He couldn't imagine a more gorgeous creature.
"Mr-" Juliette started, but she too was at a loss for words.
He stood, towering over her in his black suit jacket and white shirt. His scent engulfed her, and she felt as though she was about to faint.
"If I may," he began, "what is your name...?"
An embarrassed smile crept across her face as she stammered, "Juliette."
